The other side of the rocky outcrop in the middle of the bay lies Booby’s Bay, a low-tide beauty that hides amazing rockpools and coves, as well as the skeleton of a ship long since wrecked.
St Merryn village is a short drive away, with plenty of shops and bars including Rick Steins pub, The Cornish Arms. The village is also home to a well-stocked shop, bakery, and surf shop, so all bases are covered! Another five minutes in the car will take you to Padstow, a vibrant harbour town packed full of renowned restaurants, galleries, and a whole host of outdoor activities, perfect for a day out.
