Introduction
The Porthcothan is a modern three bedroom apartment laid over two floors featuring a bright open plan living area which bursts with natural light during the day meaning you can always make the most of the sunshine. Through the patio doors in the lounge a sea facing balcony awaits, with amazing views over the beach, so you can dine al fresco whilst watching the waves crashing. There are three bedrooms in total sleeping up to 6 guests, the master bedroom boasting absolutely stunning views out to sea to start the day the right way!

Ocean Blue is located just a stone’s throw from the beach at Treyarnon Bay, one of the most sought-after bays in North Cornwall where you can soak in the most amazing sunsets. The renowned surfing beach offers an interesting blend of sandy beach, rock pools, caves, and gullies to explore and a natural swimming pool on the Northern side, plus stunning coastal walks in this area of natural beauty. With a cafe at the top of the cliff to sit and have a bite to eat and a drink or a seasonal food van for takeaway food and drinks, car park and toilets. On top of this, the beach is dog-friendly all year round. Perfectly situated amidst the popular bays of Harlyn, Mother Ivey’s, Constantine and Porthcothan, and the award winning Trevose Golf Club which is just a mile away.
A short, ten minutes, drive away is Padstow; a picturesque harbour town, that’s winding streets hide a plentiful number of pleasant surprises. This bustling town offers a vast variety of food from Rick Stein’s fine dining restaurants to fresh homemade pasties. If you’re feeling adventurous you could catch a sea life safari from the harbour or enjoy scenic views of the estuary cycling to Wadebridge for lunch along the flat Camel Trail.
Layout
The lower floor of the apartment includes a modern open plan living room which enjoys views out across the beautiful blue sea and golden sands of Treyarnon Bay. With a well equipped kitchen to include built in washing machine and dishwasher, dining table and chairs, an armchair and a corner sofa which looks out through the patio doors to the sea beyond. The third bedroom is tucked behind the living area, with twin beds. There is also a useful cloakroom in the hall with toilet and hand basin.
Upstairs you will find the master bedroom overlooking the bay, with a double bed and en-suite shower room. The second bedroom is a spacious twin room adjacent to the family bathroom which includes a bath with shower over.
The Porthcothan has a paved balcony accessed from the living room, with glorious views across the bay and out to sea, a glass and stainless steel balustrade, dining table and chairs.
NOTE –
Both twin rooms have 2’6” beds (slightly narrower than a standard single).
Access
When gaining access to the property from the main car park (paved) there are 10 plus steps to the main entrance. Once inside there is one internal staircase.
Parking
There is allocated parking for one vehicle within the gated grounds of the Ocean Blue development.
EV Charging
Vehicle charging is not permitted, please do not charge electric vehicles using the electricity supply in The Porthcothan.
Pets
One small dog is permitted within the property with a £25 charge, please enquire with us directly.
Refundable Security Deposit
A refundable security deposit of £250 will be taken prior to your stay.

Check in is from 16:00. On departure, please vacate by 10:00.

This was perfect for myself, daughter, grandchildren and dog Bonnie being so near to the beach. We could walk round to Constantine or swim in the sea pool, the sea or play on Treyarnon beach. With the youth hostel and the little shop for food we didn’t need to get in the car to go anywhere all week. The accommodation was very clean and well equipped. Two bathrooms and a downstairs toilet were ideal. We loved eating on the balcony or sitting in the lounge looking at the sea. Will definitely go again.
