Porthcothan Bay is a short walk away, with safe and shallow swimming at high tide, and plenty of coves to explore when the tide is out. This lovely beach is popular with families, sunbathers and surfers alike, and is just ten minutes from your door. The cottage is perfectly located for walking the coast path, which hugs the dramatic coastline and provides endless opportunities for leg-stretching and nature-spotting. The village of St Merryn is two miles away, with a variety of local shops, takeaways and pubs, and the foodie mecca of Padstow is only 5 miles from your door.
Layout
If relaxing in a warm, cosy space is your thing, then the conservatory at the front of Carnavis Cottage is where you want to be. This lovely hug of a room has plenty of soft seating and a space to dine, the perfect place for a morning cuppa. Head on through to the living room, where two sofas flank a giant wooden mantle with smart TV above and electric fire below, just the thing on a wild Cornish night. The well-equipped kitchen diner sits to the rear of the home, with French doors opening out to the rear garden giving lovely views to the fields beyond. A downstairs WC and wet room sit just off the kitchen, with separate access to the rear garden, most convenient after a day at the beach!
Upstairs, two of the three bedrooms sit at the rear of the house, both with spectacular views over the rolling countryside. These two rooms are a cosy double and a twin, and a spacious primary room is to the front of the home, also with beautiful views over the fields. A large family bathroom completes the upper floor, fully tiled with a large bathtub and separate shower.
To the rear of the cottage is a patio area with outdoor seating and charcoal BBQ, as well as a sheltered lawned area. A gate leads to a large dog-walking field and children’s play park behind the cottage, which you are welcome to use during your stay.

Three parking spaces in tandem on the brick-paved driveway. Level access to the front entrance.

There is parking for three cars to the left-hand side of the home with gated access from the road.

It is not permitted to charge electric vehicles at this property.
Pets
Dogs are permitted with a small charge of £25 per pet.
Refundable Security Deposit
A refundable security deposit of £250 will be taken prior to your stay.

Check in is from 16:00. On departure, please vacate by 10:00.
