MY favourite spots to watch the sun set in Cornwall

If you’re on holiday in Cornwall, you cannot go home without saying that you have witnessed a beautiful Cornish sunset. It’s as simple as that.

There are so many perfect spots, the list of places to experience sundown could be endless, but here are a few to start you off…

It’s as simple as that. There are so many perfect spots, the list could be endless, but here are a few to start you off…

1. Treyarnon Bay

Our number one, Treyarnon Bay. The perfect position for the golden hour.

Grab a cold one on the way past the YHA, pick a spot along the coast path between Treyarnon and Constantine, sit back and soak in the beauty.

2. Mawgan Porth

At Mawgan Porth you have the choice to chill on the beach with a picnic and enjoy the sun going down, or pop into the pub or a restaurant for dinner before taking a stroll across the beach at sundown.

Either way, you can stretch out the evening and end it with a warm orange glow.

3. Lusty Glaze

The best thing about Lusty Glaze is that you can enjoy a stunning sunset directly from the beach restaurant.

The food is lovely and the atmosphere is great, you can sit inside looking out over the beach, or grab a bench on the beach and enjoy a crisp glass of wine with the sand between your toes.

4. Fistral Beach

If you want to be out in the open, just pick your spot and get settled, the beach is completely west facing so the sunsets are remarkable.

If you want to enjoy a bite to eat whilst watching the sun go down, pop into The Stable, they have a glass fronted seating area and balcony with the most stunning views, serving amazing pies and pizzas.
