Introduction
Sitting just above The Camel Estuary and Little Petherick Creek, it’s easy to see why this lovely property was featured in a Sunday Times “50 Most Romantic Holidays in the World” Offering the luxurious feel of a boutique hotel wrapped up in a quintessential stone Cornish cottage, this is a stylish coastal bolthole that you will want to return to again and again……
Nearby
A short stroll from your front door is the Camel Trail, which follows the estuary as it meanders from Padstow to Wadebridge. Avoid tackling parking in the bustling harbour town and take a picturesque 20-minute stroll to Padstow, a working harbour town with a famous reputation as a foodie destination. The town is home to a large selection of eateries, including Rick Steins Seafood Restaurant, Paul Ainsworth’s highly regarded No 6 and the always buzzing Prawn on The Lawn. Padstow hosts a number of events throughout the year that always draw the crowds, including the centuries old May Day festivities which bring the town alive with song and dance.
Popular with activities enthusiasts, the area is home to several of the best surfing beaches in the UK, as well as two championship golf courses and the famed Southwest Coast Path, which provides access to stunning scenery along the area’s dramatic coastline. With so many activities on your doorstep, this wonderful gem of a cottage is the perfect base from which to explore this spectacular part of the world.
Layout
Entering through the wooden cottage doors, you are greeted by a generous hallway featuring a stunning slate tiled floor. Sitting off this hallway is a convenient family bathroom with shower over bath, and a further door leads to a surprisingly spacious and beautifully laid out open plan living, dining and kitchen area. Featuring a country style kitchen fitted with wooden worktops and lovingly decorated in a stylish coastal palette, the generous size of the room is accentuated by exposed beams, painted white to add to the feeling of height. There is a smart television for cosy nights in.
The master retreat is found up the stairs leading from the hallway, nestled under the eaves of the cottage. Comfortably fitting a king-sized bed and enjoying the same character features as the lower floor, this delightful room also features an ensuite WC. Louvre shutters nestle within the deep window recesses, giving this lovely room a cosy and cocooned feel, perfect for those stormy Cornish nights!
The Round House has a private and sheltered South facing courtyard featuring a slate flagstone patio, the perfect spot to enjoy morning coffees or an evening BBQ with a few sundowners.
Access
There are two steps from the gravelled parking area to the front door, and one internal step between the hallway and living area. Carpeted stairs with a handrail and one turn take you to the upper floor, where there is one further step to the ensuite toilet and three steps within.

The property has two allocated parking spaces directly adjacent to the courtyard.
